Football unites
We think that sports are one of the best ways to meet new people. As a newcomer in Skellefteå, we think it’s a good way to get to know your new town and the people that live here. We are always in need of volunteers for our tournaments and match day crew. In Skellefteå there is a shortage of people with coaching experience or experience of working with athletes, therefore we are more than happy to hear from you if that description fits you. If you want to play football for our club we have teams for boys and girls from the age of 5 years to senior age.
Skellefteå FF Youth, Academy and Senior
Most of our teams train and play games at our home stadium Electrolux Home Arena (Norrvalla IP). In our club we put an emphasis on education. We want our coaches to be well educated and follow the Swedish Football Association’s and UEFA:s educational plan for coaches.
Skellefteå FF’s goal is to create a fun and safe environment for development both as players and persons. What sets our youth section apart is our commitment to providing year-round opportunities to play and train football. Many of our teams participate in leagues and tournaments that span the entire calendar year, offering our players consistent opportunities to evolve their game. We always put emphasis on the individual’s development. One of our club’s trademark is that we have a high quality sessions and a high amount of training session during a year.
We welcome kid’s from the year they turn 5 in what we call ”Fotbollslekis”. A fun way to start your relationship with football. We play games and play football. The youth teams start from the age of 7. Skellefteå FF also run an academy. 2024 we have a girls U17-team (under 17) and a girls U16-team. On the boy’s side we have U13, U14, U15, U16 and U17. In the academy, teams train between 6-8 times a week.
During the winter we also offer players from all over Skellefteå to join our Winter Academy for boys U12 and girls U13
Our women’s team play in Division 3 Norra Västerbotten and our men’s team play in Division 2 Norrland.
